While in Ramachandran, Kartha, Dr. Dhalla received a special award as Guest of Honour at the  Rajiv Gandhi Centre for Biotechnology, Trivandrum

From March through November, Dhalla will attend or present at international meetings in Serbia, Washington DC, Tokyo, Havana, Buenos Aires, Boston, Winnipeg, Vancouver, and Boston.
