Scientific discoveries must be translated into practice to improve human health. However, basic research can also be stimulated when clinical researchers uncover questions while investigating new treatments. Thus, the two work best in proximity and collaboration with each other. Our current research infrastructure strengthens and accelerates this critical part of clinical research. The I.H.
