The Division of Neurodegenerative Disorders (DND) is housed within the Dr. John Foerster Centre for Health Research on Aging located at the St. Boniface General Hospital Research Centre. DND was established in 1999 through a major funding initiative "Age of Discovery" by the St. Boniface Hospital & Research Foundation. All faculty in DND hold academic positions in the Department of Pharmacology & Therapeutics, University of Manitoba.
Through a strong & close relationship with the University of Manitoba - Department of Pharmacology & Therapeutics, our group has a thriving graduate student program. We are dedicated to training highly-qualified, adaptable graduate students and fellows poised to meet the growing worldwide demand for basic science and clinical pharmacologists. We are all about creating opportunity, and that is why we are committed to excellence in research by actively teaching and encouraging innovation, technical diversity, collaboration and rigorous scientific integrity…all aimed at driving publication of high-impact pharmacological research and generation of intellectual property.
