A Research Associate/Technician III position available immediately to work full-time (Monday-Friday).

Brief description of duties and responsibilities:

• Enthusiastic about research.
• Experience in molecular biology techniques and cell culture is essential.
• Conducts experiments and interprets results.
• Co‑authors or authors research publications, including preparation and presentation.
• Is responsible for keeping abreast of developments in the general area of expertise.

Skills and Abilities:

• Ability to work independently on assigned research projects.
• Ability to conduct research independently.
• Ability to plan, organize and administer projects.
• Must be able to work within time constraints.
• Ability and willingness to learn new techniques.
• Ability to keep abreast of developments in the areas of expertise is required.
• Ability to work as part of a team is essential.
• Ability to train and to supervise students.
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, are essential.
• Proven ability to contribute to manuscript preparation and writing.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• A Ph.D. in the field of molecular/cell biology.
• The candidate should also have demonstrated independence in laboratory research practice.
• Possess excellent organizational and collaboration skills. 
• The successful candidate will have excellent verbal and writing skills.
