Congratulations to Dr. Chris Anderson who recently received a 5-year CIHR Operating Award totalling $651,921 for his project titled: Regulation of cerebral blood flow by endothelial NMDA receptors.
Dr. Anderson will be studying new mechanisms of blood flow regulation in the brain. Brain blood flow regulation is defective in several types of dementia associated with aging, thus Dr. Anderson's research will shed new light on therapeutic strategies for these debilitating neurodegenerative disorders.
