Congratulations to Dr. Davinder Jassal, Principal Investigator of Cardiovascular Imaging, Institute of Cardiovascular Sciences, recently selected as the Royal College of Physicians & Surgeons “2010 Mentor of the Year” for Manitoba and Saskatchewan.

From the Royal College’s website:

The regional Mentor of the Year Award was established to acknowledge Fellows who have demonstrated a long-standing commitment to the welfare of patients and to high standards of excellence in clinical care and ethical conduct. The nominee will not only have been a role model to residents and/or Fellows, but his or her mentorship will have had a long-lasting impact on their career. The award is in recognition of the qualities of a “professional” as described in CanMEDS. The award is given to Fellows who acted as role models for medical students, residents and other Fellows of the Royal College.
