The 1st annual Undergraduate Life Sciences Research Conference took place in the Research Centre’s Cohen Auditorium on November 20th, 2010. The conference, chaired by student Matthew Lytwyn, was designed to give undergraduate researchers from across Canada an opportunity to present their research to the scientific community and build upon skills with presentations and networking.

The day consisted of presentations from undergraduate students and keynote speakers specializing in cardiovascular research, and culminated with an awards dinner. The conference was funded by St. Boniface Research Centre, the University of Manitoba, Faculty of Science and Faculty of Medicine, the Professional Association of Residents and Interns of Manitoba, the Institute of Cardiovascular Sciences, Bothwell Cheese, and the Science Students Association of the University of Manitoba.
