St. Boniface Hospital 2011 MegaMillion Lotto Launched
St. Boniface Hospital Foundation today announced the launch of the St. Boniface Hospital 2011 MegaMillion Lotto – once again guaranteeing a $1 million grand prize.
“This year, we will be making one lucky Manitoban a millionaire,” says John Graham, Chair, St. Boniface Hospital Lotteries. “A guaranteed $1 million really can change your life. We’re really looking forward to awarding that $1 million prize on March 17.”
The grand prize of a guaranteed $1 million continues to be the largest cash prize ever awarded in a Manitoba hospital lottery. In addition, the St. Boniface Hospital 2011 MegaMillion Lotto features hundreds of fabulous prizes – all with a cash option.
“The prizes in the St. Boniface Hospital 2011 MegaMillion Lotto are always outstanding, and being able to offer cash options is really important to our valued supporters,” says Graham. “We give ticket purchasers the chance to write their own fortune.”
MegaMillion tickets go fast and purchasers are encouraged to buy early to avoid disappointment. This year’s Early Bird Draw is scheduled for March 3, and features a 2011 CLS 550 Mercedes-Benz plus $7,500 cash, or the choice of $100,000 cash, plus an additional $100,000 in cash prize draws. A full list of prizes for the Early Bird and Main Prize Draws can be found atwww.stbonifacemegamillion.ca.
Chuck LaFlèche, President & CEO, St. Boniface Hospital Foundation, says everybody wins when you buy a St. Boniface Hospital 2011 MegaMillion Lotto ticket. “Ticket purchasers are doing more than getting a chance to win a life changing fortune,” says LaFlèche. “They’re also supporting life changing care. They’re supporting the efforts of researchers, surgeons and health care professionals at St. Boniface Hospital who work tirelessly to improve treatment and recovery from illness and surgery.”
All proceeds raised with Foundation lotteries stay in Manitoba and are directly applied to lifesaving medical research and patient care at St. Boniface Hospital, supporting initiatives in cardiac care, diabetes, cancer, stroke, Alzheimer’s Disease, and much more.
“[The St. Boniface Hospital] is something that we need every day, and that our kids need too,” says 2010 MegaMillion Lotto $1 million winner Diane Hebert. “Your odds are so much better with the Hospital than with other big lotteries. It’s a charity that we’ll continue supporting.”
Tickets are $100 each or three for $250. Purchasers can order tickets by fax (204-231-0041), phone (204-944-7150), in person at the Foundation office, or by downloading the order form online and mailing or faxing it in Tickets purchased before February 27, 2011 will be entered in the Early Bird Draws on March 3, as well as the March 17 Main Draws.
