WINNIPEG – On June 22, the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Manitoba (HSFM) will present cheques to Manitoba’s top heart disease and stroke researchers at its annual research reception.
The University of Manitoba (U of M) will be presented with a cheque for $680,000 in support of 14 researchers focused on leading-edge heart disease and stroke research.
7 of the 14 researchers are Principal Investigators at St. Boniface Hospital Research. They are:
- Dr. Chris Anderson, Division of Neurodegenerative Disorders (DND)
- Dr. Hope Anderson, Canadian Centre for Agri-Food Research in Health and Medicine (CCARM)
- Dr. Todd Duhamel, Institute of Cardiovascular Sciences (ICS)
- Dr. Elissavet Kardami, Institute of Cardiovascular Sciences (ICS)
- Dr. Lorrie Kirshenbaum, Institute of Cardiovascular Sciences (ICS)
- Dr. Nasrin Mesaeli, Institute of Cardiovascular Sciences (ICS)
- Dr. Karmin O, Canadian Centre for Agri-Food Research in Health and Medicine (CCARM)
