Congratulations to Dr. Ben Albensi, Principal Investigator, Synaptic Plasticity and Cellular Memory Dysfunction, and Associate Professor, Department of Pharmacology and Therapeutics, University of Manitoba, on receiving the Richard Hoeschen Award for B.Sc.(Medicine), presented at the Joe Doupe Memorial Lecture on Thursday, September 6, 2012 at the Frederic Gaspard Theatre. The award is awarded annually to a student supervisor in support of expenses incurred as a result of the students’ B.Sc.(Medicine) project.
Ryan Dale (now a 3rd year med student) won The Winnipeg Chapter Society for Neuroscience Book Prize, as well as an ADE & Company Inc. Award for Excellence in Experimental Research for his BScMed thesis presentation entitled “Use of diffusion MRI technique as a tool in the early detection of Alzheimer’s Disease”. The ADE & Company Inc. award recognizes excellence in demonstrating potential for commercial application.
