Dr. Elissavet Kardami is the principal investigator of the muscle cell biochemistry group in the Institute of Cardiovascular Sciences and professor of human anatomy and cell science in the Faculty of Medicine, University of Manitoba. Her husband Dr. Peter Cattini is a professor in, and head of, the Department of Physiology in the Faculty of Medicine. When they collaborate, they have great success—they have co-authored 37 articles and shared seven grants, contributing to $9.5 million in research funding. But do they work well together?
