Dr. Abhay Srivastava, Postdoctoral Fellow won Dean of the Rady Faculty of Health Sciences Postdoctoral Fellow Award, a singular honor in this category.
Keshav Narayan Alagarsamy, PhD student won the Biosciences Association of Manitoba Poster Award and Graduate Student Merit Award of the HSGSA.
Daniel Schwade Araujo selected by the Canadian Cardiovascular Society as a recipient of the 2023 Have a Heart bursary; and also selected as recipient of the Pawan K. Singal Scholarship in Cardiovascular Sciences.
Sanjana Chauhan, 4th year PhD student, won the Martha Donovan Women’s Leadership Award; the Dr. Ian R. Innes Memorial Award recognizing an outstanding research presentation; and UM’s Emerging Leader Award recognizing students who demonstrate exceptional leadership qualities.
Akshi Malak, graduate student, won the Dean of the Rady Faculty of Health Sciences Poster Award for Excellence in the 2023 Manitoba Student Health Research Forum Poster Competition.
Vibhuti Arya, MSc student, was selected by the Canadian Cardiovascular Society as a recipient of the 2023 Have a Heart bursary.
Molly Crandall, graduate student won the Canadian Society for Chronobiology Research Excellence Award.

Breanne Semenko, MSc student won People’s Choice Award at the Canadian Sustainability of Canadian Agriculture Conference
Chamali Kodikara, MSc student received the Best Poster Presentation Award at the 3rd Annual Manitoba Sustainable Protein Research Symposium. She was also recognized as one of University of Manitoba’s Emerging Leaders. The Emerging Leader Award is designed to recognize UM students who demonstrate exceptional leadership
