Congratulations to Hannah Zhang, a PhD student from Dr. Amir Ravandi‘s lab, who received first place, a $2000 reward, and the Dr. Archie McNicol Prize at the 2025 Three Minute Thesis (3MT) competition. Zhang’s presentation, titled “Lipids as early markers of cardiogenic shock,” captivated both the judges and the audience with clarity and insight. In addition to this prestigious award, for the first time in UM’s competition history, a Challenger’s Choice Award, voted on by fellow competitors, was also presented to her.
