Dr. Inna Rabinovich-Nikitin, Principal Investigator from the Women’s Heart Health and Cardiometabolic Function lab, has been named a recipient of the prestigious Rh Awards for Early Career Investigators, recognizing her outstanding contributions to research within the first five years of her academic appointment.
Presented by the University of Manitoba, the award honours early-career investigators who have demonstrated significant achievement and excellence in their fields. The award ceremony took place on May 28, 2026, at the Fort Garry Campus.
Dr. Rabinovich-Nikitin’s research focuses on maternal heart health and cardiovascular disease, an area of growing importance as researchers work to better understand and address cardiovascular risks affecting women before, during, and after pregnancy.
“I am honoured to receive the Rh Chrysalis Award. This recognition highlights the importance of advancing research in women’s heart health and leveraging pregnancy as a window into future cardiovascular risk. I am grateful for this recognition and inspired to continue working toward healthier futures for women everywhere,” said Dr. Rabinovich-Nikitin.
The recognition highlights both Dr. Rabinovich-Nikitin’s accomplishments as a researcher and the strength of the research environment at St. Boniface Hospital Research. Her work continues to advance understanding of cardiovascular health while contributing to improved outcomes for patients and families.
The Rh Awards for Early Career Investigators are among the University of Manitoba’s most competitive research honours, celebrating emerging researchers whose work is making a significant impact in their respective fields.
